Japanese fighting in Genova since 1951
The sport club CALGJ from Genova is one of the oldest schools of martial arts and personal defense in Liguria and was established in 1951 from the famous master Tito Devoto, black belt 7° dan.
The instructors of the school CALGJ have experience in a number of disciplines revolving around the art of Ju Jitsu (the Sweet Art). We go from the modern style of Ju Jitsu of the Metodo Bianchi (with its study of settori and flying techniques)), to the more traditional Yoshin Ryu. From the mixture of these interpretations of the concept of Ju (flexibility, cedevolezza) we arrive to the applications of Ju Jitsu to the personal defense and to the free fight (Fighting system). The instructors of the school are moreover qualified to teach the Global Method of Self Defense (MGA) of the Federazione Italiana Judo Lotta Karate e martial arts (FIJLKAM).
If you want to learn some Martial Arts in general or Ju Jitsu in particular, if you are interested in Personal Defense (self defense) or if you just want to keep fit, you are welcome to come and visit us. You are allowed to try it out freely to understand if this is the club for you.
